Dry skin may arise due to various reasons and it can affect the skin on your face as well as your body. This situation results in dryness, rough and peeling skin that tends to burn on contact. Hence treating dry skin becomes very important.

How To Get Rid Of Dry Skin:
1. Cleanse The Right Way: This is an important step in the procedure of how to get rid of dry skin on face. To remove dead cells, usually people scrub a lot. But there are harsh scrubs that hurt and damage your skin. Use a good and gentle cleanser such as a cleansing milk to cleanse regularly. Keep your skin clean. For dry skin, it is recommended that you use oils to massage, leave them on for a few minutes and then cleanse. Use gentle scrubs at least twice a week. Use sugar scrub, the best scrub for dry patches if you have any.
2. After cleansing, do not forget to moisturize well. Make sure you use both day creams and night creams. Use Vaseline if dry patches are extremely dry. Simply take small amount of Vaseline it and massage on those patches. It works wonders to get rid of dry skin.
3. Moisturize your hands: You wash your hands more than any other body part. So whenever you wash your hands, after towel drying it, apply some hand cream. Keep a hand cream in your hand bag too. Use hand wash instead of soaps to wash your hands.
4. Is your scalp dry? If your facial skin is dry, then it is quite common to have a dry scalp too. So try to massage it regularly with oil.
5. Moisturize your lips: Choose a good lip balm for your dry and chapped lips to keep them moisturized. Keep one at home and carry one in your hand bag. It’s better to choose a lip balm with good SPF.
6. Never step out of your house without sunscreen..
7. Hydrate your skin well to provide moisture to the skin from within. Drink atleast 8 glasses of water per day. Drink fruit juices, soups etc.
8. Eat green leafy vegetables and fruits every day.
9. Avoid junk food as much as possible.
10. Avoid dry and polluted environment as much as possible.
11. Avoid soaps and use moisture rich body wash, face wash etc.
12. Rubbing ice over face helps in blood circulation and moisturizes the face well.
13. Massage your dry skin with a good massaging cream or oils from time to time.
14. Use olive oil to massage before cleansing. It helps in cleansing the skin well.
15. Avoid caffeine and alcohol which can increase dry skin problems.
